Before 104th Amendment Act, 2019, the maximum number of nominated members to the Lok Sabha was 2. These members were nominated by the President of India to represent the Anglo-Indian community if the President believes the community is not adequately represented in the Lok Sabha. However, this provision was abolished by the 104th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2019, which came into effect on January 25, 2020.
