The Bao-Tavera Dam Complex is the located in the island country of the Dominican Republic in the Hispaniola Islands of the Greater Antilles Archipelago in the West Indies-Caribbean region. Bao Dam, the second-tallest dam of the Dominican Republic, forms the reservoir of the Bao River. Tavera Dam forms the reservoir of the Yaque del Norte River. The purpose of this dam complex is to provide municipal water, irrigation water and water to generate hydroelectric power.
