Q. “The Analects” is a sacred text of which philosopher?
Answer: Confucius
Notes: The Analects is a sacred scripture in the Confucian tradition. It's also known as the Lunyu or Conversations. The Analects is a collection of sayings and ideas attributed to the Chinese philosopher Confucius (551–479 BCE). It's been one of the most widely-read and studied books in China for the last 2,000 years. It continues to have a substantial influence on Chinese and East Asian thought and values today.  The Analects is made up of 20 books. It offers practical advice on how a person can follow the Way. For example, in verse 2.8, Confucius says that it's more important to know why you care for your parents than how you care for them.  The Analects was probably compiled by the succeeding generations of Confucius's disciples.
