Notes: An initiative named ‘Sukhet Model” was adopted by Dr Rajendra Prasad Agriculture University in Madhubani and local agricultural research centres for checking pollution across villages. This model was praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his maan Ki Baat address. This initiative is giving impetus to Swachh Bharat campaign as well as providing benefits to farmers. Under it, cow dung and waste are collected from houses of villagers and in return villagers are given money for gas cylinders.
