Notes: Soviet aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov was renamed INS Vikramaditya after it was sold to India. The carrier was originally built as the Ukrainian ship Baku in the 1980s for the Soviet Navy. It served the Soviet and Russian Navies until 1996 when it was decommissioned. After the breakup of the Soviet Union, the ship was sold to India and underwent extensive renovations and upgrades. It was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 2013 and is currently the flagship of the Indian Navy.  The carrier was renamed in honor of Vikramaditya, a legendary emperor of Ujjain. It is about 284 meters long and 60 meters high.
