Notes: Mount Elbrus, located in Russia's North Caucasus, is the highest mountain Europe at 5,642 metres (18,510 feet). It is the highest stratovolcano in Eurasia, and also the tenth-most prominent peak in the world. Recently, five climbers died after facing an unprecedented storm on Mount Elbrus, as per the Russia's Emergencies Ministry. A group of 19 climbers were at an altitude of over 5,000 metres.
