Notes: Kusha tragedy is related to one of the most catastrophic flood in the history of Bihar. It was in 2008, when the Kosi embankment near the Indo-Nepal border broke and the river changed its course and flooded the areas which have never been flooded in decades. Most of Northern Bihar was affected by this disastrous flood and one can feel its aftermaths even today.
