Ministry of Home Affairs
The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) recently warned about illegal payment gateways created with mule bank accounts by transnational cybercriminals for money laundering. I4C, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, handles cybercrime across India in a coordinated manner. Located in New Delhi, it enhances collaboration among Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and stakeholders. I4C serves as a central point against cybercrime, identifying research needs, developing technology and forensic tools with academia, and preventing cyber misuse by extremist groups. It also recommends cyber law updates and manages international cooperation for cybercrime-related treaties.
