Corcovado National Park is located in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica. It is a part of the Osa Conservation Area. It is the largest park in Costa Rica established in 1975. National Geographic has called it "the most biologically intense place on Earth in terms of biodiversity". It conserves the largest primary forest on the American Pacific coastline. It houses Cano Island Biological Reserve and Ballena National Marine Park, which is specially designed as the breeding grounds for the humpback whales.
