This sanctuary is located in the Kodagu district of Karnataka and it is a home to rare and endangered species of birds. Kadamakkal reserve forest is a part of this wildlife sanctuary. This wildlife sanctuary neighbours the Bisle reserve forest to the north and the Kukke Subramanya forest range to the west. Kote betta, Mandalpatti peak and Makkalagudi betta are the mountains that are located in this sanctuary. Pushapgiri Mountain is its highest peak. Kote abbe waterfalls (also called as Mukkodlu falls) and Mallalli falls are also located inside this wildlife sanctuary.
