Notes: Hydroponic farming means technique of growing vegetables along with fish farming in ponds. To promote this farming, project was started by Agriculture Department and south Asian Forum for Environment. Under the project, 25-25 farmers are selected and given basic facilities free of cost. This technology was originated from Manjli island of Brahmaputra. It has now reached to Saharsa and Supaul districts of Bihar through Bengal and Bangladesh. This farming is also called as "Boat Farming" by farmers.
