Notes: The Union Ministry of Forest Environment and Climate Change has recommended 8 Indian beaches for the “Blue Flag” International eco-label.
The decision has been made based on the recommendations made by a national committee comprising of eminent environmentalists & scientists. The eight beaches include Shivrajpur in Gujarat, Kasarkod and Padubidri beach in Karnataka, Kappad in Kerala, Rushikonda in Andhra Pradesh, Golden beach of Odisha among others.
