Suresh ji… The course material is really good in quality and best in price. I am a poor aspirant with no huge funds for coaching program. Target 2016 program in gk today has really helped me in this situation. I have activated yhe account just 3 days back.
I would be very happy if u answer my query here under-
” Should I rely on any other text book source (you may suggest me sir) or is it sufficient to RELY COMPLETELY on the course material provided?”
Please answer the query as I am naive to the field and I am really serious for the 2016 attempt which is the last attempt for me. I don’t want to waste the time by going in a wrong direction. I hope your response.

Hello Krishna, Thanks for your feedback. For dynamic parts, please don’t use books. For static part, I use lots of references here is what I find best among them for students:

      NCERT Books

If you are going class by class NCERT Books, it will create trouble in proper coverage. If you want a single source for NCERT books, I would recommend this book. In GS Manual 2014, we have used NCERT books earlier, but you won’t find plagiarism from those books in my documents.

Indian Polity for Prelims and Mains

      Target 2016 documents would suffice.

Indian Economy for Prelims and Mains

We have covered economy exhaustively. For mains, we shall need to supplement this with newspaper content, which we shall begin soon.

      Indian Culture

For Prelims Target 2016 documents (revised culture documents) would suffice. For Mains, I shall be giving an Indian culture question answers module based on this book. There would be around 200-250 questions and their to the point answers.

      Environment

GS Manual 2014 Environment part is to be revised and provided to you as part of milestone-2 so we are working on it. This material would suffice for prelims. For Mains part, again, we would need to supplement it with newspaper material in CGS.

      Internal / External Security

Fundamental Information regarding framework, important laws, issues etc. we would cover in the documents which are coming next. The same will be supplemented through current affairs till your examination.

      Modern Indian History

The Target 2016 content would suffice. But if you want to supplement your preparation in a better way for history, the best book is this one according to my view.

      Ancient / Medieval History

      Target 2016 content would suffice.

      Ethics and Integrity

The new Ethics and Integrity documents would include a summarized version of G Subba Rao book available at Amazon here.

      General Science / Technology

For basics and fundamentals Target 2016 documents would suffice. For Mains, we need to focus on current part as well.

      Geography

Target 2016 documents would suffice for prelims. For Mains, we are working on listing the topics that need to be included in these.

for any exam ..preparation is important and to prepare well we have to plan well..sir a big thanks for providing a clear direction because if anyone starts to prepare for such a reputed exam then it becomes obvious to get tempted towards multiple directions as there are multiple sources available for same topic and then it becomes cumbersome to stick with the plan..many thanks sir for everything you are doing for us.
many thanks to Krishna..for asking the right question.

Sir, I have a small doubt . if a question comes with a statement that dependency ratio of a country is high .what does it mean
Aging pop is more , young population is more or both..

      Hello Bilal:
Dependency Ratio → Both Children and Aged
Age Dependency Ratio → Only aged
Child Dependency Ratio → Only Children.

That is ok sir .. But upsc had habit of asking vague questions …
Sir if a ratio is given .. This means we cannot be sure what is reason I.e aged or children ..
