UPSC Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination 2018

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has come out with the notification for Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination (GEOL) 2018. This is a good news for the candidates aspiring for job as Geologist in various departments of Government of India. Eligible candidates must apply by the last date i.e. 16th April 2018. The examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on 29th June 2018 at various centres in the country. The application fee also has to be submitted using online mode. The total number of posts is 71 and the break up is given below. The age limit for various posts is given below. • Geophysicist Group A :  17 posts in Geological Survey of India
• Chemist Group A : 07 posts in Geological Survey of India
• Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A :  23 posts in Central Ground Water Board

• Geologist Group A : 21-32 years as on 01/01/2018
• Geophysicist Group A :  21-32 years as on 01/01/2018
• Chemist Group A : 21-32 years as on 01/01/2018
• Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A :  21-35 years as on 01/01/2018
