Zero Waste is a comprehensive waste management approach involving prevention of waste generation and promotion of reuse. It seeks to reduce trash in landfills, incinerators and ocean. A study by Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA) found the potential of this approach in promoting environment-friendly jobs. It found that reuse, recycling and remanufacturing creates more jobs than using landfills and incinerators. This potential can be used to promote employment in the post-COVID-19 world.
