World Tuberculosis Day

World Tuberculosis Day is an international day observed on March 24th every year by all UN member states. The day marks the announcement by Robert Koch of the discovery of the bacteria that causes TB in 1882. It seeks to create awareness about the dangers posed by the disease. It is one of the 11 global public health campaigns marked by WHO. The theme for 2021 is ‘The Clock is Ticking’.
