2nd edition of Iranshah Udvada Utsav (IUU-2017) started in Gujrat

The 2nd edition of the Iranshah Udvada Utsav, a cultural festival of Parsi community, has started in Gujarat on December 23, 2017. The festival is organized by Foundation for Development of Udvada along with Gujarat Tourism and the Udvada Samast Anjuman. The highlights of the festival include a screening of the new ‘Jiyo Parsi’ film, a discussion on the relevance of Zoroastrianism in modern times, and a performance in memory of Freddie Mercury. More than 2,000 Parsis from all across the world will participate in the festival. During the course of the festival, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Information & Broadcasting minister Smriti Irani and the industrialist Pallonji Shapoorji Mistry, who is the chief guest of the festival, will participate in various programmes. The festival was the brainchild of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
