Manipur seeks extension of provisions of Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation 1873

Manipur government has decided to approach the Centre to extend the provisions of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation 1873 to the state. Why this decision ? The decision follows rising demands from public to bring in the Inner Line Permit (ILPS) system under the Regulation.
