Tata Communications Gets Telecom License in Saudi Arabia

Tata Communications has been granted the local telecom license in Saudi Arabia and as part of this, the company will be allowed to provide internet and related telecom services to the enterprises in that country in a defined capacity along with local currency billing for end-customers.

This is going to enable the company to make the shift from offering services as a foreign carrier in the Middle East to a locally licensed service provider. Tata Communications is now a carrier-neutral service provider in that country for the OTTs, large enterprises and multinational corporations as well. This comes as the Middle East country is looking forward to strengthening the digital backbone in the country for digital businesses.

The license will help in simplifying the digital experience for the customers and also convert their businesses into the digital companies required during the current pandemic.

Tata Communications owns and manages the world’s only wholly-owned sub-sea network that is spread across the globe. This is instrumental in providing the businesses with the opportunity to reach more than 200 countries and territories across the world.
