The world number 3 ranked Roger Federer, from Switzerland, defeated Gilles Simon from France to win the Shanghai Masters Title. Gilles Simon is unseeded.
This is the first Shanghai Masters title win for Roger Federer. In 2010, Roger Federer lost to Andy Murray in Shanghai Masters Final. This is Roger Federer’s 81st career title. He has also won 17 Grand Slams
