“Saraswati Samman” conferred on Kannada novelist Bhyrappa
Eminent Kannada writer S L Bhyrappa was honoured with the prestigious “Saraswati Samman” of 2010 for his novel “Mandra“. Carrying a citation, plaque and cash prize of Rs 7.5 lakh, the coveted honour was given away to the 75-year-old writer by Member of Parliament and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) President Karan Singh.
