Ramagundam solar power plant

Ramagundam solar power plant is set to be the largest floating solar power plant in India. It is to be set up by NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation) at Ramagundam in Telangana. The photo voltaic project will have a capacity of 100 MW and will be developed on the surface of the Sri Ram Sagar Project reservoir. It is to spread over an area of 450 acres. Floating solar power plants are infrastructure for generation of electricity using solar power production installations that are fitted on a platform that floats on a waterbody.
