CPGRAMS stands for Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System. It is an online web-enabled system for public grievance redressal. It is a system by which citizens can register complaints to various departments under the central and state governments.
- Which ministry launched the CPGRAMS?
The CPGRAMS was launched in 2007 by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances under the union ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions. The system was developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC).
- How does the CPGRAMS function?
The CPGRAMS can be used by registering oneself on the official site and then lodging a complaint. The status of the grievance can be tracked on the website. There are also facilities to receive clarifications and notifications from the concerned officials.
