Portugal: EU’s fastest aging country

According to researcher Jorge Malheiros of the Center for Geographical Studies of the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning at the University of Lisbon, the accelerated increase in the rate of aging in Portugal is a result of the departure of young people from the country. Meanwhile, many such foreigners have also come to the country who have already retired.
