This movement made him a significant figure in the history of Indian independence movement. This revolt was mainly concentrated in the Munda belt of Khunti, Sarwada, Tamar and Bandgaon. His portrait has found place in Indian Parliament Museum, making him the only tribal leader to get this much honour.
