6th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’

The 6th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (PPC), an interactive program that brings together students, teachers, and parents to discuss anxieties related to exams and life after school, will be held on January 27 at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be participating in the event and has encouraged everyone to take part in the program. The goal of PPC is to help participants overcome stress and celebrate life as an ‘Utsav’, or celebration. The Department of School Education and Literacy within the Ministry of Education has organized the event successfully for the past five years.

Overview of Pariksha Pe Charcha

Conceptualized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pariksha Pe Charcha is a unique interactive program that brings together students, parents, and teachers from across India and overseas to discuss anxieties related to exams and life after school. The goal of the event is to help participants overcome stress and celebrate life as an ‘Utsav’, or celebration. The Department of School Education and Literacy within the Ministry of Education has organized the event successfully for the past five years.

Registration for PPC 2023

Registration for the 6th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha began on November 25 and closed on December 30. This year, registrations more than doubled compared to the previous year, with 38.80 lakh participants (31.24 lakh students, 5.60 lakh teachers, and 1.95 lakh parents) signing up for PPC 2023. This includes students from over 150 countries, teachers from 51 countries, and parents from 50 countries.

Participation in PPC 2023

Students, teachers, and parents have enthusiastically participated in large numbers from state boards, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and other boards. Additionally, 2,050 participants who were selected through creative writing competitions on MyGov will receive a special Pariksha Pe Charcha kit, including the Exam Warriors book written by Prime Minister Modi in both Hindi and English, as well as a certificate. Some of the questions posed by these participants may also be featured in PPC 2023.

Format of PPC 2023

PPC 2023 is proposed to be in a town hall format, similar to the previous year, while adhering to COVID-19 protocols as determined by the Ministry of Health. Prime Minister Modi will be interacting with students, teachers, and parents to discuss ways to make exams stress-free and support Exam Warriors.
