Outcome budget

Outcome budget is a tool to link budgeting with outcomes. It was first introduced in 2005 and involves the performance assessment of each department and the development outcomes of their programs. Recently, the Delhi government presented its 2020-21 outcome budget showing education, health, environment and public works department to be the top performers. It was introduced in Delhi in 2017-18 to track the progress of various schemes, projects and programs.
