‘Rashtra Raksha Samparpan Parv’ to be held in Jhansi

As a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Rashtra Raksha Samparpan Parv will be organised from November 17 to November 19, 2021.

  • Rashtra Raksha Samparpan Parv will be organised in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.
  • To mark the occasion, Ministry of Defence (MoD) will dedicate several schemes to the nation.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch new initiatives of MoD in a ceremony being organised in Jhansi Fort on November 19, 2021. November 19 marks the birthday of Rani Lakshmi Bai.
  • This event will be inaugurated on November 17, 2021 by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh.

The Rashtra Raksha Samparpan Parv

This event is being organised by defence ministry in association with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. On November 19, programme will witness the participation from Defence Minister, Minister of State for Defence, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath.

New Initiatives to be launched

  1. Setting up of 100 New Sainik SchoolsSainik Schools will be set up in association with private educational institutions, NGOs and State Governments. At least one Sainik Schools will be set up in each State/UT, in next two years. All Sainik Schools will also admit girls
  2. Launch of NCC Alumni AssociationThe NCC Alumni Association is will further the aims of NCC and assist in nation-building. It has been proposed to launch NCC Alumni Association by enrolling Prime Minister Modi, a former NCC cadet, as first member of the Association.
  3. Launch of National Programme of Simulation Training for NCC Cadets: It will be launched by Ministry of Defence to scale up simulation training facilities for three wings of NCC namely Army, Air and Naval, in order to enable NCC cadets to get trained in their respective areas.
  4. NCC Border and Coastal Scheme: Through this scheme, NCC will be expanded by one lakh cadets, dedicated to border and coastal areas.
