National Seminar on ‘Emerging Trends in Public Architecture’ held in New Delhi

A National Seminar on ‘Emerging Trends in Public Architecture’ was held on 18 September 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The Seminar was inaugurated by Hardeep S. Puri, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs.

Key Highlights of Seminar

The seminar was organized by Central Public Works Department as part of Nationwide Awareness Campaign during ongoing ‘Construction Technology Year’. In a bid to increase the use of modern technologies in the construction sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that April 2019-March 2020 would be taken up as the ‘Year of Construction Technology’.

The seminar facilitated knowledge sharing of latest developments and capacity building in field of Architecture design and planning in construction industry.

It also gave an opportunity to participants to discuss on latest developments and capacity building in Architecture design field and planning in construction industry.

The CPWD shared its expertise and knowhow with various Engineering Departments, builders and private agencies participating in Seminar.

The seminar also had deliberation on challenges in execution of works by CPWD.
