National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project

The government is running National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project with World Bank Assistance to minimize the vulnerability in the cyclone hazard prone coastal states. There are several components of the scheme such as Early Warning Dissemination System (EWDS, Cyclone Risk Mitigation Infrastructure, Construction of Multipurpose Cyclone Shelters (MPCS), Construction of “Missing Roads and Bridges, Underground Cabling of One City, Technical Assistance for Disaster Risk Assessment and Recovery and Project Management Support Consultancy Services.
