2023 Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo

China’s Participation

Indonesia has extended invitations to a total of 47 nations, highlighting the desire for widespread international engagement and cooperation. The exercise provides an opportunity for participating countries to enhance their interoperability and build stronger diplomatic ties.

Joint Drill: Exercise Amana Youyi-2023

China has also planned a joint drill called Exercise Amana Youyi-2023 with countries from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), including Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Such collaborations further emphasize the complex dynamics at play in the region.
