Graphene

Graphene is one of the thinnest, strongest two dimensional materials. Graphene is a two dimensional material consisting of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb or chicken wire structure. It is the thinnest material known and yet it is also the one of the strongest. It’s an  allotrope of Carbon.  Graphene is 200 times stronger than steel, but it is incredibly flexible. It is also a better conductor than copper. It is transparent and is good conductor of heat and electricity.

Graphene is a transparent and flexible conductor that holds promise for various material/device applications, including solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LED), touch panels and smart windows or phones.
