About National Action Plan for Toys (NAPT), 2020

The National Action Plan for Toys (NAPT) 2020 was unveiled by the Indian Government to promote domestic toy industry, which includes traditional handicrafts, handmade toys and others. Its end goal is to make India an international hub for toy manufacturing. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and 14 other ministries are involved in the implementation of various aspects of this action plan. It covers incentives, establishment of production clusters, research and development, promotion of local toys, integration of games with education, toy repository centres etc.
