Land Ports Authority of India

Founded in 2012, the Land Ports Authority of India or LPAI is a statutory body working under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is in charge of all aspects related to border infrastructure in India. It manages several Integrated Check Posts across all borders of the country. LPAI’s 9th foundation day was observed on March 1, 2021. Its role in building infrastructure for seamless and safe cross-border movement amid the pandemic was highlighted during this event.
