Lakshya Sen clinches historic men’s singles gold at Asia Badminton Junior Championship 2018

Lakshya Sen from India has clinched historic men’s singles gold at the Asia Badminton Junior Championship 2018 in Jakarta on July 22. In the final, he defeated top-seed Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand by 21-19, 21-18. With this, he became the 3rd Indian shuttler to win singles gold at the competition after Gautam Thakkar and Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu. Sindhu, who is an Olympic silver medalist, won the title in 2012 while Thakkar won gold all the way back in 1965.
