Brunei punishes Gay sex

Brunei is to introduce new Islamic law that would make Gay sex an offence, punishable stoning to death. The law comes to force from April 3 2019. It has received international condemnation.

Under the law, the individuals can be convicted if they confess or witnessed of committing the act by 4 witnesses. Such persons are punishable by stoning to death. The UN has spoken against this.

Homosexuality is already punishable up to 10 years in Brunei. Brunei is ruled by a 72 year old Sultan. He owns the eorld’s top hotels like the Dorchester in London, Beverly hills’ in Los Angeles, etc.

Brunie received world condemnation including the UN for its Sharia law. According to which all Muslims should adhere to prayers, fasting and donation to poor. These are laws of Koran, the holy book of Muslims.

The Sharia law divides the offences as ‘Hadd’ and ‘Tazir’. According to ‘Hadd’ the person committing theft is punishable by amputating his hand.
