DRDO hands over New-Generation Wargaming Software to Navy

The Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) handed over a New-Generation Wargaming Software developed by New Delhi-based Institute for Systems Studies and Analysis (ISSA) to the Indian Navy. ISSA is a premier DRDO laboratory.

About New-Gen Wargaming Software

New-Gen Wargaming Software is aimed at creating an environment that would enable Maritime Warfare Centres (MWCs) to train using latest technological and computing tools.

The Software has been designed and developed by ISSA in collaboration with Maritime Warfare Centres (MWCs), Visakhapatnam to meet contemporary operational and tactical level wargaming requirement of Indian Navy.

Software Features:

It has versatile and user-friendly features, which enable globally playable wargaming scenarios between multiple forces.

It also enables exercises to be conducted between geographically-dispersed locations over a wide area network. Also, as architecture is forward compatible thus new functional and equipment modules can be developed as well as easily plugged in.
