INS Jalashwa

INS Jalashwa is an amphibious warfare vessel that was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 2007. It is the largest ship with the Indian Navy. It was procured from the USA in 2005. Recently, the vessel arrived at Port Anjouan, Comoros to deliver 1,000 MT of rice. This is a part of the Mission Sagar IV and the vessel was specifically chosen for its large carrying capacity. As part of Mission Sagar I, India had delivered essential medicines to Comoros in 2020.
