The 2019 edition of International Jazz Day (IJD)

The International Jazz Day (IZD) is celebrated around the world on April 30 every year to raise awareness in the international community of the virtues of jazz as an educational tool, and a force for peace, unity, dialogue and enhanced cooperation among people. In 2011, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially designated April 29 as International Jazz Day in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe. The 2019 edition was launched in Melbourne, Australia and celebrated in more than 190 countries around the world.
