The theme song for the World Environment Day 2019 Hawa Aane De was launched. The theme song gives a call for all to come together to combat the environmental challenges and urges each one to explore green technologies and measures to improve the quality of air and make the country and our cities less polluted.

5 June was named as World Environment Day by the United Nations at the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment in 1972. The observance of World Environment Day aims to draw attention to the many problems that are facing our environment. The Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment was held from June 5-16. Hence June 5 was chosen as World Environment Day.
