Gram Ujala Scheme

Gram ujala scheme is an initiative of the Power Ministry to LEDs available to households at just 10 INR in exchange for old incandescent bulbs (in working conditions). Each household can get a maximum of 5 LED bulbs. The LED bulbs to be distributed are in 2 variants: 7W and 12W with 3 year warranty. This is implemented in rural India. The scheme was recently introduced in Arrah in Bihar.
