Indian Army-Drone Federation of India MoU- Highlights

The Army Design Bureau has inked a MoU with Drone Federation of India, to work for promotion of research, development, testing and manufacturing of drones, counter drones and related technologies, in collaboration. These technologies would help the Indian Army in its operations.

Important Features of the MoU include;

The MoU between both the entities highlights the commitment of Indian Army in extending support to our industry.
It will promote efforts to anchor industry and academia, to assist them in developing niche technology and products for procurement by Indian Army.
As a part of MoU, both the entities have agreed:

To create a standard procedure for drone, counter-drone and allied technologies in Indian Army.
To promote research, development, testing and indigenous manufacturing of drones and associated technologies.
To develop goal-based technology research programs, in association with members from industry, academia and armed forces.
To enable outreach for Field Trials in association with industry and user groups of Armed Forces.

About Army Design Bureau:

Army Design Bureau is the nodal agency of Indian Army. It acts as the facilitator for R&D efforts with Academia, Industry, DRDO and DPSUs, in a bid to enable them to understand and appreciate requirement of users in depth.

About Drone Federation of India:

It promotes drone industry by providing for policy change, developing a robust skilling infrastructure, creating business opportunities, developing standards, facilitating technology & knowledge transfers, and promoting R&D efforts.
