Chemical castration

Chemical castration or anti-libidinal is a chemical treatment used to reduce testosterone, a male hormone. It involves the administration of drugs that are similar to progesterone, a female hormone- either via injection or as pills. Some countries use this treatment on a voluntary basis for potential and convicted sex offenders. Eg: Germany and several other European countries. Pakistan is currently considering the use of chemical castration as a punishment option for sexual abuse.
