AIM’s Three Innovative Resources to Empower Indian Youth

Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), an initiative by NITI Aayog, has launched three new resources aimed at fostering innovation and creativity among India’s youth. With a focus on promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, AIM has introduced the ATL Tinkering Curriculum, Equipment Manual, and the Calendar of Activities for 2023-24.

Introducing the Resources

The ATL Tinkering Curriculum is a structured learning pathway that helps students develop and improve their innovation skills. It was developed by AIM in collaboration with Makerghat. This curriculum covers a wide range of concepts, from basic electronics and mechanics to cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing and Internet of Things. Through hands-on, experiential learning, the curriculum encourages students to identify and design creative solutions to everyday problems.

The Equipment Manual is a comprehensive guide to the equipment provided in the Atal Tinkering Labs in schools across the country. The manual provides detailed information about each equipment and tool, including specifications, applications, and examples of projects that can be built using them. This resource is a valuable asset for anyone exploring innovation and problem-solving possibilities.

The Calendar of Activities for 2023-24 outlines a year-long schedule of workshops, events and competitions. These activities will promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The calendar integrates latest Equipment Manual and Tinkering Curriculum in it. It also has a special section called “Activity of the Month,” with exciting activities that the students can do in their ATL lab every month.
