Arria Formula meeting

Aria Formula meeting is an informal meeting of UN Security Council Members and is different from regular UNSC meetings in that it doesn’t require the participants to fulfil the official obligations like the presence of all 15 members, non-admittance of testimonies from NGOs, individuals, non-members, etc. In Arria Formula meetings, individuals, non-state actors, delegations from UN member states that don’t have representation at the UNSC, etc., can engage in direct dialogue with the UNSC members. Recently, India’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN addressed an Arria Formula meeting organised by Mexico.
