‘Uyghur Genocide: An Examination of China’s Breaches of the 1948 Genocide Convention’ is report released by US-based think tank Newline Institute for Strategy and Policy. According to this report, Beijing’s actions against Uyghurs in Xinjiang have violated all provisions under the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crimes of Genocide of 1948. It is estimated that 1-2 million people were detained, tortured and brain washed in Xinjiang.
