Traditional massage from Thailand gets UNESCO Heritage Tag

Nuad Thai is a traditional Thai massage which has been added to the prestigious Heritage list by UNESCO. Nuad Thai is regarded as part of the art, culture, and science of traditional Thai healthcare, it is a manual therapy and a non-medicinal remedy in which practitioners help in rebalancing the patient’s body structure and energy. As per therapists, Nuad Thai helps in opening up blocked routes in the hands, elbows, knees, and feet.
The Paris based United Nations specialized agency, United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) selects a landmark or area with cultural, scientific, historical or other forms of significance as the World Heritage Site. In 1978, the capital city of Ecuador, Quito became the first city to earn the distinction of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. At present, India has 38 World Heritage Sites.
