Sodium hypochlorite

Sodium hypochlorite is a compound used for large scale water purification, odour removal, disinfection and bleaching. It has the chemical formula of NaClO. In its anhydrous form, the compound is unstable and could lead to explosions. It requires refrigeration for safe storage.
