Social stock exchange

Social stock exchange is a route for raising capital by organisations working for social welfare. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) will be responsible for its regulation. In 2019, the SEBI had set up a working group on Social Stock Exchange. Some of its recommendations include participation of for-profit enterprises and non-profit organisations. A minimum reporting requirement was also recommended for their inclusion in the SSE. The concept was highlighted in the recently released Economic Survey.
