Sind Krait

Sind Krait is a venous species of snake and is identified as the possessor of the most potent venom in India. They appear very similar to the common krait but have 17 dorsal scales at mid-body region unlike the common krait which has 15 scales. The venom of this species is 12 to 13 times as potent as the venom of common krait. The currently available Indian antivenom is ineffective against it.
